ML&E helped relocate and staff a client-owned and operated facility to one of our facilities in Central Virginia. After thorough analysis a plan was made, adopted and put into action. An operation that ran 24/7 was relocated with only 72 hours of downtime because of the speed and depth of resources ML&E was able to bring.

By utilizing ML&E staffing resources and facilities, our partner minimized up-front costs associated with such a move, and improved productivity in a new work space designed specifically to meet their unique needs. Today, our partner is saving more than two million dollars annually.

Embrace Change and Grow

A Fortune 15 leader in the textile industry called upon ML&E to serve as an incubator for the research and development of a new fabric that possessed the porous properties of paper with the stretch and recovery capability of elastomers. 

ML&E had the space needed and outfitted the building to house the client’s equipment, and the labor to conduct testing and reporting to the client’s R&D staff. The fabric was successfully developed and the client outsourced to ML&E the manufacturing, packaging and distribution of the material in the form of mattress skirting for the bedding industry. 

The operation swiftly became a successful, viable business unit and the customer later sold the operation to ML&E.
